Announcement:

At the end of my lease (End of April 2011), I will be moving back to the Front Range. In all likelihood either Boulder or Golden.

For some this will come as a surprise, for some I have already pre-announced my attentions.

I could write volumes on why this change is needed and how Telluride will always be here to move back to etc, etc, etc.
But instead I would like to share one of my favorite songs by Drew Emmitt.   Read/listen to the lyrics carefully, because it describes my relationship with Telluride almost exactly.

I remember when Drew Emmitt played Cross That Bridge at the Sunset Concert up in Mountain Village like it was yesterday.  I was very moved by the song and immediately bought the CD from him after the show.  This autograph CD now has extra special meaning.

Cross That Bridge, by Drew Emmitt

standing at the crossroads

lots of room to look around

so much behind me now

so much more to be found

everything that I am leaving

and all that I once knew

just give me tomorrow

and the good things I can do

cross that bridge when we get there

right now just taking it as it comes

cross that bridge when we get there

I'll hit the ground when I am gone

worn out and scattered

the four winds in my face

its mind over matter

then it all falls into place

like a star righted sunset

shining bright for all to see

if the night can still redeem us

for the winds will set us free

cross that bridge when we get there

right now just taking it as it comes

cross that bridge when we get there

I'll hit the ground when I am gone

it is an end of an era

the closing of a book

begin of another story

take another look

cross that bridge when we get there

right now just taking it as it comes

cross that bridge when we get there

I'll hit the ground when I am gone

cross that bridge when we get there

right now just taking it as it comes

cross that bridge when we get there

I'll hit the ground when I am gone

Thank you Drew!  Thank you Telluride!

Lets see where the wind blows me next.
